Xavier has 22 teams on its 2012-13 schedule that participated in 2012 postseason action, including 10 in the NCAA Tournament. "This is a great schedule for our fans and for our team," said Xavier Athletic Director Mike Bobinski.
The television schedule announced today includes eight games on the ESPN family of networks, seven games on the CBS Sports Network and seven games that will be CBS Sports Network Regional broadcasts. The remaining 10 games of the 30-game regular season package will be covered by national and regional television, including the package on FOX Sports Ohio, the Television Home of Xavier Basketball.
Xavier opens the 2012-13 season with an exhibition game against Kentucky State on November 3 at Cintas Center. The Musketeers open the regular season with a three-game homestand that begins with Fairleigh Dickinson on November 9 and includes a non-conference game on Nov. 13 against new Atlantic 10 Conference rival Butler as part of ESPN's Tip-Off Marathon. Xavier also hosts the likes of Vanderbilt, Memphis and Kent State while playing at Purdue, Tennessee and Wake Forest. In neutral site action, XU also plays Cincinnati at U.S. Bank Arena and against a talented field in the Anaheim Classic in November that includes 2012 NCAA Tournament teams Cal and Saint Mary's and consensus top 25 preseason pick Drexel.
Xavier opens the regular season on Friday, Nov. 9 against Farleigh Dickinson at Cintas Center. Xavier opens the Atlantic 10 Conference schedule on Thursday, January 10 against Temple.

The free open house on October 1 at 5:30 p.m. will give season ticket holders a behind-the-scenes look at Cintas Center with an opportunity to see locker rooms, media room, strength and training areas, and the recently renovated athletic offices.
